Biography:
Halca started with an interest in music from early childhood. She was heavily inspired when she one day received a copy of the song "Again" by YUI. While in junior high school, she discovered that her home's cable TV had an anime channel, which is also the way she became familiar with anime music in general. She would watch this anime channel on a daily basis, which slowly began to impact her future plans. The biggest impact from the several anime shows she watched in her childhood, were shows such as Cardcaptor Sakura and Toradora!. The anime that had the biggest musical influence ended up being the song "Kiss Kara Hajimaru Miracle" from the anime Steel Angel Kurumi, which became her favorite anime song. She decided to join her school's choir club and broadcast theater club later on to hone her vocal skills, as she started to take an approach to singing herself.
After honing her skills in school she officially decided to pursue a career as a musician. Halca had a lot of singing auditions to consider, but the audition that piqued her interest the most was for the Utakatsu! Audition, which focused on anime songs. She decided to participate in the audition for Utakatsu!, and she ended up winning the grand prize in 2013. She didn't let win go to her head, however, as after the winning the audition she continued to train her vocal skills while waiting to make her major debut. In 2017 she was invited by the singer CHiCO, known primarily for her involvement in the group HoneyWorks (alongside Gom, Shito and Yamako), to perform in the latter's 2017 live tour as their opening act. Following her opening act, she performed the song "Kimi no Sora" ("Your Sky"), which was included in a compilation album released to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the online novel publisher Noichigo. She also performed with the song "Resonator", which was used in the original soundtrack for the anime series "Beatless", and she also made a mini-album titled White Disc, which was sold during the HoneyWorks tour.
Halca made her major debut later in 2018, with the release of her first single "Kimi no Tonari" ("Next to You"), which was used as the ending theme for the anime Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku. To commemorate the release of her first single, the mini-album White Disc was made available for sale during the single's release event. Her second single "Starting Blue" was released in October 2018, with the title track being used as the ending theme for the second season of the anime Ace Attorney. Her third single "Sentimental Crisis" was released in February 2019, the title track was used as the ending theme for the anime Kaguya-sama: Love is War. Her fourth single "Houkago no Liberty" was released on November 13, 2019, the title track was used as the ending theme to the anime We Never Learn!: BOKUBEN Season 2.
