Akiko Yano is a Japanese vocalist, lyricist and composer who has been active as a musician since 1974. She is affiliated with the entertainment agency Sony Music Artists, and is currently under record label Speedstar Records (2013–), having previously been under record labels Nippon Phonogram (1976–1979), Japan Record (1980–1983), Tokuma Japan (1983–1985), MIDI (1986–1989), EPIC (1991–2003) and Yamaha Music Communications (2004–2013).
